Milnerton the Area

Milnerton is situated about 11 kilometres to the north of Cape Town City’s centre, a suburb of of Cape Town in South Africa. Milnerton consists of, Milnerton Lagoon, Woodbridge Island, Milnerton Beach and Nature Reserves all in close proximity of our Self Catering Holiday Accommodation in Milnerton.

Milnerton lagoon
This lagoon enters the sea with palm trees giving you a real holiday feeling. The lagoon is used by canoeists from the Milnerton Canow club, the oldest club in the Western Province. This lagoon also boast extensive bird life.

Woodbridge Island
A true island joined by two bridges, one traditional wooden bridge, not being used for any form of traffic including pedestrians anymore. A new bridge was build allowing traffic to the island where the very popular lighthouse is also situated. A local school named Zonnekus Primary changed their name to Woodbridge Primary in honour of the landmark. Residential properties are well known on the island as well as rental properties.

Milnerton Beach
This beach is well known for surfers and holiday makers for a stroll next to the beach to the very popular surfing in this area. Water at this beach is generally cold and waves varies from small to large waves, while the larger waves are more popular when the South Easter (Cape Doctor) is blowing.
